Modest and simple – this is all I will be NOT this New Year’s Eve! It’s a few years in a row that I have been really wanting an all sequins outfit, but somehow, I never dared to get one. I though that at the end, it might not be practical and I should rather get something that I will be wearing more than just once. And well, I did not change my idea, but I changed my approach to it. Believe me or not, I am going to wear sequins more ofter, also in my daily outfits.

Sequins may not seem like something you could wear casually, since they make a bold and noticeable statement. But you can easily dress them down with cool styling and be the most fashionable woman in your casual street style. Wear a monochrome outfits, keep away from complex cuts and structured silhouettes and avoid statement accessories and dark or intense makeup. And voila – you no longer look like straight from the party. Sequin skirt will look fabulous with a chunky sweater and sequin top with a pair of jeans. My New Year’s Eve shining outfit is a midi length skirt and an oversized blouse that I am planning to match with a sparky earring (just one) and a pair of fancy heeled sandals. No doubts I will be shining bright ;)
