We are all getting more and more tired of fashion trends that are uncomfortable to wear, too fancy, and generally not daily life friendly. So to give us something more comfortable, yet still stylish, fashion industry created the out of bed style. The acceptable way of wearing your dressing gowns in public. We have already had pyjama dressing trend and even duvet coats (for example THIS ONE), but now it’s time for a more sophisticated look. This season the loungewear obsession has evolved to something more elegant and mature – the robe dress. Not only is the robe silhouette super flattering on any body type, but it’s also about as close as you can get to actually wearing loose, homewear out on the town. Robe dresses can be more or less elegant, short or long, colorful or minimalistic. But they have one common advantage – all are super easy and comfortable to wear.
My robe style dress comes from a Polish brand The Odder Side. I already own another robe dress from the same brand that I have been wearing on repeat when I was pregnant. I love how flattering this shilouette is, and how easy we can style it for so many occasions.
Here I’m wearing midi length grey Amber dress. The dress has no lining so to make it wearable on the colder days, I have layered it with a turtleneck and added over knee boots. With thick tights and warm coat you can basically rock it all winter, with sandals it will be perfect in summer.
What do you think? If you love robe dresses too, you may also like This Look.
