Look of the week #12 – it’s a (faux) leather weather

Leather outfits are placed among other ’80s fashion trends that are bravely joining us this autumn. They gained a timeless appeal thanks to its connotations of, yes, motorcycles, bad boys, rockers and non-conformists. Lately though, it seems like leather has gained a totally new identity: a refined, elegant coolness that’s all about looking chic. Effortlessly chic. And don’t worry, you do not need to adapt real leather outfits as there are many cutting-edge designer pieces crafted from vegan leather.

Leather clothes keep appearing in almost every autumn collection since few years and this piece of clothes is definitely not something new in fashion. What is new is that no matter if you wear faux or real leather, you can wear it in both versions, relaxed & casual or evening & chic. We could see on the catwalks many examples of leather trousers, shirts, dresses and skirts. The look that stole my heart is leather head to toe – leather shirt combined with leather pants or skirt is definitely a chic and classy way of rocking your autumn wardrobe this year.

I own a set of dark brown leather skirt and shirt from last year Mango collection and it’s my go to outfit for so many occasions. With heels for dates and with converse shoes or other casual flats for a more daily look. Here I combined a faux leather pants with big sweater and my favorite heels. The bag is three years old but a similar one is still available so I’m leaving you links to all the pieces.
